The two-stroke engine, liquid-cooled like the factory YZ bikes, has a quick-action six-speed gearbox to keep you on the crest of the power wave. The strong, lightweight chassis, supple forks and high-spec rear shock give massive ground clearance and keep the dual-sport tyres tracking true on rough or smooth terrain. Full-size offroad style 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels each come with their own powerful disc brake. Offroad riding is tough, so the DT50R gets enduro-style digital instrumentation and bodywork. Yamaha has put in all the work on the DT50R. All you have to do is enjoy it.
