RECREATION - VX SERIES(VX Cruiser, VX Deluxe, VX Sport)
The new, updated VX series – currently the world’s number one choice among rental operators and family users worldwide - offers an irresistible combination of a powerful and reliable 4-stroke engine, seating for 1 to 3 riders, and an easy-to-handle hull - all at an affordable price.
The VX Sport features a powerful 1052cc 4-stroke engine, seating for 1 to 3 riders and is ideal for all levels of rider. The VX Deluxe features a sport seat, a Reverse mode along with Remote security and a Low-RPM mode for extra peace of mind.
For longer rides, the VX Cruiser also features a cruiser seat with comfortable textured upholstery.
2010 VX models have been revised for even greater levels of comfort, performance and easy handling. A newly designed metallic deck and a sleek black hull finish gives the craft a stylish, premium look that will impress on the water. Hulls are crafted for ultra-natural handling, making VX WaveRunners consistently simple and pleasurable to ride.
As a result of Yamaha’s ongoing programme of intensive ergonomics research, riding positions on all models have been further refined for even greater comfort. The shape of the reverse lever has also been revised to make it more user-friendly, making the craft easier to drive.
All of the VX models now include redesigned convex dual mirrors that provide a clear view behind the craft - perfect for towing wakeboarders and skiers. Extended rear platform and anti-slip Hydro-Turf mats make entering the water and re-boarding a breeze; the VX Cruiser model also features a fold-out re-boarding step that provides a wide step-surface for ease of boarding, while enlarged glove boxes offer more storage space for long days out on the water.
High-Performance – FX series (FX SHO, FX Cruiser SHO, FX Cruiser HO, FX HO)
FX models combine incredible performance, extra-comfortable passenger seating and impressive storage facilities - making them the ultimate ‘sports-touring’ watercraft.
All feature a large displacement, high-output 1812cc engine – either naturally aspirated or, in the case of FX SHO models, supercharged - and revolutionary NanoXcel™ hull and deck material. This lightweight, super-tough material saves a massive 25kg and allows incredible agility and fuel economy.
Yamaha’s Electronic Throttle Control enhances the ride with several intelligent features. Cruise-Assist lets you set & hold a particular speed, while maintaining a comfortable riding position with the throttle; No-Wake Mode keeps you within speed limits; and Reverse Traction Control lets you manoeuvre smoothly by preventing over-revving in reverse.
The special upholstered cruiser seat on Cruiser models provides a luxurious ride on long trips, while drinks holders, a smart, sports car-style dash panel and generous watertight storage space all add to an incredible feeling of comfort on the water.
Sport – FZ series(FZR, FZS)
The ultimate high-performance sport models, the FZS and FZR are powered by a supercharged 1812cc 4-stroke DOHC engine and feature a race-proven NanoXcel hull that delivers supreme edge-to-edge handling and unprecedented predictability - connecting the driver and musclecraft like never before.
The FZR seats one rider and the occasional passenger, while the FZS enables up to 3 riders to enjoy the craft’s incredible performance. Clever telescopic steering allows you to carve hard in the classic lean-forward position - or make a quick adjustment and ride standing up. The FZ hyper-flow jet pump propulsion system, with three-blade stainless steel impeller, maximises water flow for excellent hook-up and smooth acceleration.
The FZ series’ styling reveals the racing spirit of these fierce musclecraft, with two large red-accented analogue meters that provide a clear view of the watercraft’s speed and RPM at a glance.
Race - SuperJet
Created for the world’s leading pro racers to novice racers, the SuperJet is designed for competition-winning performance. The SuperJet is powered by a high-performance, two-cylinder, 701cc Yamaha 2-stroke marine engine connected to a 144mm Hyper-Flow jet pump propulsion system. Designed to maximize water flow for high performance, the SuperJet’s stainless steel impeller is the product of feedback from racers. This super-efficient, high-performance impeller design is based on fluid analysis technology for superior acceleration and speed.
The SuperJet’s lightweight deep-strake hull features moulded-in sponsons that allow the craft to turn easily and stably, so it’s perfectly balanced for hard cornering and straight-line speed. The spring-assisted steering pole and handlebars have been designed for a forward-leaning riding position so the rider feels that they are always in a competitive stance.
To increase dynamic stability and straight-line running performance within the limited space of the hull, the ride plate has been moved further aft to effectively lengthen the waterline. Also, the position of the pump itself has been moved further aft to provide stable pump performance even in choppy water conditions
